Hi Ben, I know there are two podcast episodes that talk about preventing burnout. But unfortunately, I think I'm already there. I thought I could manage it, but things outside my control happened. I'm a startup co-founder and we are in a crucial point at the moment, where I need to be present, but my brain is exhausted. I have constant headaches and I reach cognitive fatigue very quickly, so I can't think properly or perform the tasks I need to do. I can't be productive and it's hard to relax. Do you have any insight of how to start treating a burnout?
Being a self-reflective person myself, I usually seek answers and techniques as an instinct but I know quite a lot of people who don't really know how to start or who don't even experience the thought of having to start reflecting or working on their internal world (while I do believe that it will benefit them greatly). Hopefully, you know something that can trigger them. I have tried to recommend the podcast or some of the actions you have suggested before but I suppose that it is already a bit too big of a step for most of them. Therefore, the question how to help them see/feel that they might need to look into themselves first.
Ugh... so much stress! My mind just won't shut off. Plz help! I just think of everything and everything when I try and go to sleep at night. I end up taking at least an hour or two to fall asleep. Any tips would be appreciated.
